Gary Pool rated amybody it was ok Aug 09, I found my mind constantly wondering and trying to decipher what each sequence in the story was fichard to “teach” you and what effect it was meant to have, what techniques were used and why, which interfered with my total immersion and enjoyment of the story. Alas I can not get it out of my head what exactly is this fable meant to DO and who it is meant to have the reader go through subconscious changes, so if you are bent on self analysis like I am stay away from the book as it will probably forever remain an unsolved mystery nagging at the back of your mind.

The Adventures are a self-confessed fable; just one way to let your mind run away with you — now — so, figuratively speaking, just imagine you were this poor young prince right there in the middle of somewhere, and that you longed for a new experience.

Books by Richard Bandler. Feb 12, Ole rated it it was amazing. A must read fable. On the other hand, I’m fairly sure that Bruno Bettleheim could write another book or two explaining the psychology of imagining oneself through a character with quite so many parts and such an entwined plot.

If my experience is anything to go by then you should plan to bandoer The Adventures out loud, in largish chunks there are only three chapters.

It’s language and subtle sometimes not so subtle undertone shows how effective effective language can be. Trivia About The Adventures of The Prince, who might once have been somebody is the Anybody of the story, until, of course he becomes somebody else — and the somebody else very often turns out to be just Anybody all over again.
